Does my wedding or formal dress need to be cleaned before I donate it?

If your wedding or formal dress has any odor we ask that you have your gown cleaned before donating to us. All gowns must be smoke-free. If your wedding gown is heavily stained, it may not be usable. It is our commitment to hospitals and bereaved families to provide clean, beautiful and high quality Memory Gowns. Thank you for your support!

Do you accept other formal gowns?

Yes we do! We can use dresses in most any color except for neon, in addition to wedding dresses.

Is the donation of a wedding or formal dress a charitable donation?

Angel Wings Memory Gowns is a 501(c)3 non profit organization and donations made to us are tax deductible. We cannot value your donation, but we will send you a tax acknowledgement letter via email once we have received your donation. Donations that do not have an attached email address will not receive a tax receipt. When mailing tax receipts by the US postal service, it takes funds to purchase stamps which takes away from money that could be used to purchase supplies for memory gowns.

Can I request Memory Gowns and Wraps made from my wedding dress be sent to a specific hospital?

We provide Memory Gowns and Memory Wraps to any parent or hospital that requests them. At this time we cannot guarantee placement of specific Memory Gown or Wrap at specific hospitals.

Does Angel Wings Memory Gowns charge bereaved families or hospitals for Memory Gowns or Wraps?

It is an honor for us to provide the gift of our Memory Gowns and Wraps to any bereaved family or hospital requesting them for burial services at no cost. Since we work strictly from donation from the public, sometimes shipping costs can be very difficult on our organization. If you would like to make a donation to help us with this cost, please see the donate tab above.

Are you willing to take pictures of the gowns that are made from my dress?

The process of constructing Memory Gowns and Wraps is very complex. Most of the time several wedding and formal dresses are used to create a one of a kind garment. Because of this, Angel Wings Memory Gowns cannot guarantee photographs of completed Memory Gowns or Wraps to donors.

I would like a keepsake piece of my wedding gown.

If you would like a keepsake piece from your wedding gown you should remove whatever portion of your wedding gown that you would like to keep before sending your gown to Angel Wings Memory Gowns. Please cut no larger than a 4×4 square from the dress. Please note that due to the high volume of donated gowns received we are not able to offer this service after we receive your donation.
